Ok so the thread is this:



Increase arcade activity by reducing scores to keep arcade competitive

Debate on our 360 games in the Arcade.

Never reset high scores?
That means people get scores that can't be beaten and others just give up trying,
making the game obsolete

Prune just the top scorers from old memebrs?
That means regular members have a chance of getting a high score.

Prune high scores every so often?
every month ~ 6 months ~ every year

Is pruning required will it keep people motivated to play?
No point playing if the high score has been in first place for like 6 months and is 2000% higher than you can even get!

Remember.....We have quite a lot of memebrs that have not even logged in the last year, and some from two years ago, some have high scores that are impossible to beat.

This subject is wide open for debate!

Please post what you think should be done!

Why not make it the highest scores for a month or a period of time to be decided then start anew.

Also make it that it shows the last member who achieved the highest score as the leader.

I think that this would start everyone on an equal footing at the start of every month or whatever period is decided.

It would also be fairer to members who are not able to be online all the time.

We all love a little competiveness, that's what keeps us playing and of course because because we enjoy the games too...but if there is always high scores that are very hard to beat, then sometimes it can be a put off....soooo...

Yes Tech, it would be a very good idea to prune old members scores.

Do as you so see fit, i dont mind, sometimex able to play sometimes not , some games load some games dont( for me) good at some dont get others so do as you wish , you have my full support

What I've done is taken out all the old members’ scores from 6 months + ago

I think its look lots better,

and to have good competition between regular players
