Been here for a few weeks now and was wondering today what all you guys do for a living. Like a get to know session.

I'll start, My official title is Adalta Central Administrator. I work for a company called Sodexho and build extranet sites for our clients. However most of the time it means training people who cannot use computers for their lives (not always easy i tell you.)

Not been in the role long so early days yet although i feel my patience may snap one day. Afterall the people i train are chefs by profession, chefs that can't spell recipe i might add!!

Love to hear what you guys do.

Kevaroo

lmao.gif I like that laugha.gif

Well up until April I had my own building business but trade got slow and to be honest I did'nt enjoy it, a lot of hassle comes with that, not comeback, I think I only had to go back to a job once in 4 years flex.gif but people would phone me and expect me to go to do their work the next day, then all the paperwork ph34r.gif

Anyhoo, I got out of that and got a job in a newsagents up the top end of town, busy little place smile.gif
Ok the money is less than half I used to get but I'm a hell of a lot happier, I get paid every saturday and get to chat and laugh with different people all day, that's me , thats what I like biggrin.gif

I should be going back on tuesday, had 4 weeks off due to a inguinal hernia operation, see what doc says first tho smile.gif

I'm a Retired Civil Servant, I became ill in 1995 and was medicaly retired.
I found this very distressing because I was a very active person.

I was also in HM Coastguard air sea rescue, cliff man,
which involved rescues using abseiling equipment on our ever crumbling cliffs on the Norfolk Coast.
Great memories.

will have to dig some pictures up.

The most dangerous thing i've ever done was taking to bits an anti tank mine doh.gif
as i was only 12 at the time i had no idea what it was lol rolleyes.gif
the wonders of metal detecting lol

I loved it Jackie, we had quite a few rescues on the Norfolk coast.

Well, for a living, I rely on my parents to bring home the money, food, drink, clothing, etc. etc....

I study in school, am in 10th year. So after this, only 2 more years to go, and then it's the big 3 year break when I go into the army... unsure.gif
I always thought of being in the Intelligence part of the army, as that's less dangerouse and it interests me too.

But my mum thought that, because I want to study aw when I'm outta there, I am better off doing JAG (law through the army - they pay for your studies, plus you get experience..)

But as of now I am pointing myself at my school studies, because without them I won't get anywhere... laugha.gif

Keep your head down at the studies Rafi. You can always return to them after the army. wink.gif

Army intelligence is that not a bit of an oxymoron? rolleyes.gif

The wife and I went down to Ayr a couple of weeks ago. Going up the high street we heard a pipe band coming down the street. It was preceding a small Amnesty International Peace type march. I joke not when I tell you one of the marchers was carrying a poster saying 'let's fight war'. laugha.gif laugha.gif

laugha.gif Bear: I told you that you were amazing and could do anything!!! And you've already done it!! Me, as I'm getting older and hopefully wiser I'm glad I did all that I did. In the 80's I was a police officer and also a volunteer fire fighter in Maine (USA) Had to go thru alot to prove that a women could do just as good a job as a man but I did it!! I loved it, felt proud to be able to help others and I wanted to show my son (who at the time was a young teenager) that if you put your mind and soul into whatever you choose to do, you can accomplish it. Now my life is alot quieter, into Administration in a school district and also work with the mentally and physically handicapped. Don't have much spare time but manage to spend weekends with my 5 year old grandson and that sure keeps you on your toes. I love traveling especially to Sherringham UK. Guess i've said more than I should. Hope I haven't put everyone to sleep yet zzz.gif
